Safe-T-Access Storage Opens in Washington, IN

Business partners Jordan Briggeman and Ross Wade are opening a self-storage facility in Washington, Ind. Safe-T-Access Storage LLC is near equipment supplier Hoefling Truck and Tractor Inc. The property will be a first of its kind in the area, according to the source, containing 104 units (24 of which will be climate-controlled) and vehicle storage.

"We found there's a need for storage in this area," said Briggeman, who noted the nearest similar facility is in Jasper, Ind.

Safe-T-Access will be fully automated, with 24-hour access and a self-service kiosk that serves English and Spanish speakers. The property will include five covered bays and 28 open-lot vehicle-storage spaces. It’s accessible from Interstate 69 and U.S. Route 50, a benefit for commercial tenants, Wade said. "That means you can leave here and go any way you want after picking up your product from our secured facility,” he says, adding the site will also be popular for those looking to store golf carts.

The storage owners hope the facility will also spur more development in the area. "We're hoping it's kind of like the domino effect," Wade said. "I think this is something you have to be sort of aggressively optimistic about."
