Police in North Carolina are looking for a registered sex offender after finding the body of a 23-year-old woman in a self-storage unit at Mini-Storage Center Saturday. The woman, Valerie Hamilton, is the daughter of Concord, N.C., Chief of Police Merl Hamilton.

Police in North Carolina are looking for a registered sex offender after finding the body of a 23-year-old woman in a self-storage unit at Mini-Storage Center Saturday. The woman, Valerie Hamilton, is the daughter of Concord, N.C., Chief of Police Merl Hamilton.
Charlotte Mecklenburg Police issued a warrant for 34-year-old Michael Neal Harvey. They believe Harvey is the man seen on surveillance video leaving a restaurant with Hamilton last week. Police are looking for a white 1996 Chevrolet Blazer with North Carolina plates.
According to police, Harvey was convicted of a sex offense in New York and arrest records show he has been in North Carolina for at least five years.
