Update 5/31/16 – SurePoint has received approval from the Pearland City Council to build what will be its fourth self-storage facility in the Houston market. The three-story building at the intersection of Broadway Street and Kirby Drive will be climate-controlled, according to the source.

The company has also begun construction on its Barker Cypress Road project and is nearing completion of its four-story project in Richmond.

1/25/16 – SurePoint Self Storage is expanding its presence in the Houston market with the purchase of vacant land in Pearland, Texas, a Houston suburb. The 3.8-acre site is near the intersection of Broadway St. and Kirby Drive.

SurePoint will also begin construction in the next 60 days on its third self-storage property in the Houston market: a three-story, 119,000-square-foot facility on Barker Cypress Road at Cypress North Houston. The company is finishing construction on two other projects in the region, one on Spring Cypress Road just east of Grant Road in Cypress, Texas, and a four-story building in Richmond near Highway 59 and the Grand Parkway.

In addition to the Houston projects, SurePoint will complete construction next month on its fifth San Antonio location, which is on Bulverde Road in the community of Roseheart.

SurePoint is owned by developers Jeff Bailey, Brian Cisarik and Robert Loeb. Cisarik and Loeb have been active in the San Antonio self-storage market since 2001.
