Planning Board Approves City Line Self Storage Facility Expansion in Johnstown, NY

City Line Self Storage Inc. received planning-board approval this week for an expansion project at its facility in Johnstown, N.Y. City Line plans to construct a new building with 65 storage units, with about half being climate-controlled.

The new building will be constructed on an empty 19,000-square-foot section of the property at 580 N. Perry St., according to co-owner Brian Hanaburgh. City Lines parcel is 87,000 square feet.

The building will be 45 by 120 feet and designed similarly to the facilitys existing blue buildings, according to Hanaburgh and co-owner Ed Bradley. To accommodate heated storage spaces, HVAC (heating, ventilation and air conditioning) equipment will be placed at each end of the building to control the temperature. The units will be heated by propane-fueled furnaces.
