Storage Asset Management Clothing Drive Brings in 8,000 Items

A clothing drive spearheaded by Storage Asset Management Inc. (SAM) netted more than 8,000 items. Launched in June at the 24 self-storage facilities managed by SAM, Spread Goodwill encouraged tenants and community members to donate clothes and shoes.

Once collected, the items were donated to Goodwill Industries to aid in its mission of reaching out to youth, seniors, veterans and military families, people with disabilities and others with specialized needs.  In 2010, Goodwill Industries helped nearly 2.4 million people through its employment and training programs.

We are so grateful to our property managers for their work in promoting this drive to their current customers and local communities, said Julie Purcell, director of marketing. Everyone was so generous and we are really pleased with the results.

Formed in 2010, SAM is a full-service self-storage management and consulting company. It currently manages 24 properties in mid-Atlantic and northeast states.
