Self-Storage Operator LifeStorage Hosts Spring Into Life Fair April 20 in Chicago

LifeStorage in Addison, Ill., is hosting a Spring Into Life Fair on April 20, featuring a variety of free activities for community members. The fair, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., will include a garage sale, food drive, blood drive, free wellness screenings and diagnostic testing, and more.

The free event is open to LifeStorage customers and community members, and will feature more than 20 local businesses and organizations. This is the biggest event LifeStorage Addison has ever hosted, and with the amount of participants and planning, Store Manager Karin Selga said she anticipates it to be a huge success.

It actually morphed from the garage sale idea that we did last year. We wanted more of a presence in the community. Attendees will include community members, current tenants and many from the chamber of commerce events Ive attended, she said.

There will more than 20 vendors including the American Cancer Society, Pampered Chef, the Addison Police Department, Addison Fire Department, PNC Bank, Sam's Club and LifeSource, which will conduct the blood drive. Current tenants and community members will have units set up to sell wares. There will also be childrens activities, a Touch-a-Truck raffle, and refreshments provided by Sam's Club.

I am a believer that the only thing that sets us apart these days is the level of customer service offered to the customer on an individual basis, Selga said. Community is very important, which is why the food drive, blood drive and health screenings are so integral to this fair.

Founded in 2002 by owners Jean Jodoin and Christopher Barry, LifeStorage has 25 locations in Chicago and its suburbs.
