Greenback Self Storage Aids Tornado Victims in Tennessee

Greenback Self Storage in Loudon County, Tenn., is helping victims of Wednesdays tornado.

The facility is accepting donations of household goods, furniture and clothing in a range of sizes until 9 p.m. Monday. Blankets, towels and toiletries are desired items.

The facility is at 6537 Highway U.S. Highway 411 S. at the intersection of state Highway 95, next to the Greenback Corner Market.

The tornado hit Blount and Loudon counties just before 10 p.m. According to the National Weather Service the tornados destruction stretched a half-mile wide and four and a half miles long. Several cars, homes, barns and some businesses were damaged or destroyed. The tornado also knocked out power for about 3,500 customers.
