The Georgia Self Storage Association (GASSA) has elected new board members for 2018-19. Members recently voted to extend board terms for directors from one to two years. They also approved automatic succession for the executive council after one year, according to a press release.

The Georgia Self Storage Association (GASSA) has elected new board members for 2018-19. Members recently voted to extend board terms for directors from one to two years. They also approved automatic succession for the executive council after one year, according to a press release.
“This change to our board terms will allow this group of leaders to plan on more of a long-term basis for the association’s programming and membership.” said Samantha Kilgore, executive director.
The new board members for the executive committee are:
President: Richard Williams, U-Haul International Inc., Phoenix
President-elect: Jasmin Jones, Absolute Storage Management, Cordova, Tenn.
Past-president: Stacey Gorman, Tucker Self Storage, Tucker, Ga.
The new directors are:
John Arnold, Bellomy & Co., Atlanta
Calvin Byrd, Byrd’s Mini Storage, Dawsonville, Ga.
Lou Ehrenhalt, Old Ellis Storage, Roswell, Ga.
Cliff Hite, Space Shop Self Storage, Atlanta
Sarah Beth Johnson, Universal Storage Group, Atlanta
Michael Morrison, Midcoast Properties Inc., Hilton Head Island, S.C.
Glen Nicotra, City Storage River Street, Savannah, Ga.
“I’m excited to have each of these people on board. They have shown a commitment to excellence within the industry, and will continue to push this association to provide high-level service to its members,” Kilgore said.
Founded in 1992, GASSA is a nonprofit organization for self-storage professionals in the state of Georgia. Its 240 members include owners, managers, management companies, vendors and suppliers representing more than 800 facilities.
