Southeast Region Golf Workshop Combines Education, Recreation

GOLFERS KNOW GREAT PAIRINGS CAN HELP their score--the same holds true for a successful business. At next month's golf workshop, participants can pair up with industry professionals during educational sessions, leisure activities and evening functions to discuss business strategies, share successes and failures, and learn from self-storage experts.

The educational portion of the program is filled with knowledgeable speakers who will share their expertise, not only in their sessions but throughout the workshop. Sessions include:

The workshop employs a casual atmosphere. Attendees are encouraged to kick back and hone their business skills in this spectacular setting. The workshop will be held at the award-winning Renaissance PineIsle Resort, situated on Lake Lanier Island near Atlanta. Golf, tennis, horseback riding, sailing, pontoon boats and water sports are just a few of the recreational activities available. It's a great venue for adults and children.

Self-storage owners, operators and managers should attend, as should industry vendors. Not only will they learn a great deal in the sessions, they will benefit by networking with other professionals in a fun, relaxed atmosphere.

Fall Conference to Take Place in San Diego

MARK YOUR CALENDAR TO ATTEND THE Self Storage Association's conference and tradeshow in San Diego, at the Manchester Grand Hyatt, Sept. 10-13. This event has been attracting industry leaders for nearly 30 years. The San Diego program is being designed to benefit every participant--whether a novice or industry veteran. The complete program will be mailed soon and will appear on the SSA website in its entirety.

Developers Seminar Held in Conjunction With Conference

The SSA would like to extend its gratitude to Inside Self-Storage for allowing the association gratuituous use of this monthly section. The cooperative effort is greatly appreciated.

INDIVIDUALS CONSIDERING THE SELF-STORAGE business or those who want to expand their existing facilities are encouraged to participate in the two-day self-storage developers seminar taking place Sept. 9-10 at the Manchester Grand Hyatt in San Diego. The course covers such topics as:

Registration for the seminar is limited to 100 participants, ensuring more personalized training and networking for all. The Self Storage Association has conducted two developers seminars annually during the last six years, and every one has sold out in advance.

Registrants may attend the opening general sessions and tradeshow on Thursday, Sept. 11, at no additional charge. There they will have opportunity to speak with industry professionals and nearly 100 companies that have the products and services they need to start a self-storage business.
