Digimarc Drivers License Authentication

Card Scanning Solutions formed an agreement with Digimarc Corp. to license its Digimarc IDMarc for use to authenticate U.S. drivers licenses. Card Scanning Solutions will incorporate digital watermarking inspection capabilities into its portfolio of ID reading and verification solutions including the new Snapshell FDA camera scanner. Powered by software featuring optical character recognition to accurately read cards from all 50 U.S. states and more than 30 countries, the Snapshell IDR uses a three-mega-pixel camera built into its base to record digital images of ID cards (up to 600 dpi), populating the cards text into appropriate fields within two to three seconds. StorLogix Version 2.0 and Falcon XT Version 4.2

PTI Integrated Systems, an end-to-end solutions provider for self-storage customers, has released StorLogix Version 2.0 and Falcon XT version 4.2. The new version of the Falcon XT adds an embedded TCP/IP stack to the firmware allowing network connectivity to any Ethernet local-area network. Additional features in the new StorLogix version include embedded badge printing, a PTI 2000 classic interface and enhanced reporting capabilities. OpenTech Alliance Inc. introduced Insomniac 700 self-service kiosk designed with flexible installation options, compact design and front service ability. These features make it easy for owners to install a rental and payment machine into their existing facility. The system features a 15-inch color touch-screen display, digital signature pad, fingerprint scanner, full-sized 8.5-inch printer, lock dispenser, speaker phone, credit card scanner, bill acceptor, check reader and stereo speakers. The 700 also features a built-in video surveillance camera that can be plugged into a digital video recording system or analog video recorder so facilities can record every kiosk visitor. The Insomniac 700 takes new rentals and payments, allows customers to update their account information, offers tenant insurance, gives virtual tours, prints leases and dispenses locks.
