Sentry Self Storage Announces Staff Changes

Florida-based Sentry Self Storage, which provides management services to independent owners and investors, announced several promotions and additions. Gary Will was promoted to area manager in southern Florida. Will began his career with Sentry Self Storage in 2001, and has worked at Sentry facilities throughout the area.

Chris Ward, who began his career with Sentry last year, was promoted to area manager in central Florida. He opened Champion Self Storage in Orlando in under six months and has achieved more than 52 percent in occupancy. Previously, Ward was with Public Storage and Extra Space Storage in property management and training positions.

Sentry hired Sonya Kline as a property accountant in the Coral Springs, Fla., home office. She has several years in retail operations from store level to vice president of operations.

Dave Cooper re-joined Sentry as a district manager and is based out of the Orlando area. He oversees the companys 11 properties in central and northern Florida. Cooper most recently was a district manager with Extra Space in Tennessee.

21st Century Self Storage Hires Two

21st Century Self Storage hired Fred Tames as national operations manager to manage the 21st Century Storage properties in California, Maryland, Missouri and New Jersey. His new projects for 2007 will include storage facilities in Marmora, N.J.; Tioga Philadelphia; Ocean Township, N.J., and Miami. Tames 25 years in the industry includes developing New York Citys largest self-storage chain.

George Lachenmayer joined 21st Century Self Storage/Lunar Real Estate Services Inc. as construction manager. He has more than 28 years of construction experience in the Delaware, Maryland and New Jersey regions. Lunar is the managing company of 21st Century Self Storage, and builds and operates all its locations in California, Maryland, Missouri and New Jersey.
