Digimarc Drivers License Authentication
Card Scanning Solutions formed an agreement with Digimarc Corp. to license its Digimarc IDMarc for use to authenticate U.S. drivers licenses. Card Scanning Solutions will incorporate digital watermarking inspection capabilities into its portfolio of ID reading and verification solutions including the new Snapshell FDA camera scanner. Powered by software featuring optical character recognition to accurately read cards from all 50 U.S. states and more than 30 countries, the Snapshell IDR uses a three-mega-pixel camera built into its base to record digital images of ID cards (up to 600 dpi), populating the cards text into appropriate fields within two to three seconds.
