Killeen Police Make Arrests in Texas Storage Burglary

Killeen, Texas, police have arrested two people they believe to be associated with the burglary of 21 storage units at Bell Mini Storage. During a routine stop for a traffic violation in Harker Heights, police noticed stereo and computer equipment and other suspicious items in the back of the suspects' vehicle. They arrested the 24-year-old driver, who went to Bell County Jail, and the 16-year-old passenger, who was sent to Bell County Juvenile Detention Center.

Killeen Police made similar arrests in a self-storage burglary earlier in the year. On Feb. 18, officers responded to a call made by A-American Mini Storage, which complained of several suspicious males seen loading numerous items into their vehicles. When the manager confronted the suspects, they fled on foot, leaving their vehicles at the scene. It was then discovered 14 units had been burglarized. Three of the suspects were charged when they attempted to report their vehicles stolen. Warrants were issued, and the three men were arrested and sent to Bell County Jail. Killeen Detectives believe all the items stolen from the storage facility were recovered.
