North Ranch Self Storage
'A CUT ABOVE'

By Jeanne Fulfer

North Ranch Self Storage, in Thousand Oaks, Calif., is the result of several years ofplanning. We wanted not just a storage facility, but a property that was a cut above therest--a business for which we could be exceptionally proud. Great consideration was givento every detail prior to construction and architectural designs. We decided that we wantedto improve the image of self-storage and, at the same time, offer more services andconvenience to our customers.

Our driveways were built wide with extra turning radius for easy access forsemi-trailers and moving vans. We used oversized doors--up to 10 feet--for accessibilityto RVs and boats. Our property offers a variety of sizes for every customer's needsranging from 15 square feet to more than 1,400 square feet, with pricing competitive withother storage facilities in our area. We play soft music that can be heard inside and outto help relax the weary, tired movers and tenants. Our halls are finished in white enamelfor brightness as well as cleanliness. We also have several entrances to long halls, whichgive customers a short walk to interior units and a feeling of safety.

We don't look like a normal self-storage facility from the exterior of our property. The buildings are lined with appealing arches and columns, as well as numerous fauxwindows. Our arched sign is lighted and shines like a beacon in the night to would-becustomers.

North Ranch Self Storage was officially opened Dec. 22, 1997, and the leasing has beenstrong ever since. These results stem not only from the facility's prestigious appearanceand friendly, professional services, but also from a state-of-the-art security system andrecorded (24 hours daily) monitoring cameras. Many tenants have commented on how pleasantand secure they feel while at North Ranch Self-Storage.

We cater to commercial accounts and provide extra services such as 24-hour access, invoices, executive secretarial services, delivery acceptance and message services, amongothers. Our goal is to reach those commercial accounts which are too small for thebusiness parks with an office environment, but too large for the home-based business. Wehave tapped into a definite need within our community and plan to continually grow alongthese lines. Our company is public-oriented and proud to be part of the ThousandOaks/Westlake communities. We hope to have a long, profitable business within our area, one that is "a cut above the rest."
