Wentworth Self Storage Acquires Phoenix Facility

Wentworth Self Storage, a subsidiary of commercial real estate firm Wentworth Property Co. LLC, has purchased Accessible Self Storage in Phoenix for $5.1 million. The 4-acre property at 7111 W. Indian School Road comprises 70,605 square feet of net rentable storage space in 723 drive-up units. Constructed in 1985, it also contains 12 vehicle-parking spaces and 144 mailboxes for rent.

Wentworth was represented in the transaction by Norman Herd, principal of commercial real estate firm Quantum Property Advisors. “With opportunities to purchase quality self-storage assets dwindling, as transaction velocity slows, we were pleased to bring this property to Wentworth, adding to their rapidly growing portfolio,” Herd said. “We worked closely with the seller for approximately three years to enable them to bring the property to market. The end result was a win/win transaction for all involved."

Based in Phoenix, Wentworth Property has developed more than 7 million square feet of commercial office and industrial space. Its portfolio includes build-to-suit, conversions and ground-up developments.

Phoenix-based Quantum services include brokerage, financial analysis and underwriting, and market-related consulting. Over the past three years, its principals have completed more than $75 million in real estate transactions. It has a satellite office in Seattle.
