The North Carolina Self Storage Association and SMD Software Inc. will host a free webinar on June 8, 11 a.m. ET, titled "Making Social Media Work for You." Open to self-storage owners and managers throughout North Carolina, the webinar will address the use of various social-media platforms in the self-storage industry including Facebook, YouTube, Twitter, blogs, QR codes and LinkedIn. The webinar will be presented by Patti Thomas and March Chase. Thomas is the district manager for All About Storage/Absolute Storage Management Inc., which has three North Carolina locations. She has been in the self-storage business since 2003 and currently serves on the NCSSA Board of Directors. SMD Software, the provider of SiteLink self-storage management software, is hosting a series of webinars in 2011 with content tailored to the requests of self-storage owners, managers and accountants.

The cost to attend the June 8 webinar is $10 per portal. Registration can be completed at www.ncssaonline.org. Users should choose “Webinars” from the “Attend” menu at the top of the Web page.
