Southern Self Storage in Palm Beach Gardens, Fla., partnered with Palm Beach Countys Youth For Christ organization to raise funds for its teen ministry. The companys two self-storage locations in West Palm Beach held consecutive yard sales in April, raising more than $2,500.
More than 300 people attended the events. In addition to the yard sale, there was a car wash, blood drive, pet adoption and up to 10 different food trucks at one site.
The company plans to host more fundraising events this fall. Our managers take pride in their community events, says Tresha Power, marketing manager. They strive to go beyond the typical yard sale, always coming up with fun activities to attract families.
Opened in 1985, Southern Self Storage has 20 facilities in Florida, and five in Ontario, Canada.
Palm Beach Countys Youth For Christ works with local churches to minister to youth.
