Westy Self Storage of Chatham Hosts Book Drive

Westy Self Storage of Chatham, N.J., is supporting the Summit College Club book drive, which runs through April 4, by serving as a drop-off and storage location for donations.

Since 1934, the Summit College Club, a branch of the American Association of University Women, has held a large book sale to raise money for scholarships, which help local girls attend college. All donated items will be sold at the 2012 book sale, April 17-22, at The American Legion Hall in New Providence, N.J.

All donated books must be in good condition and should be packed flat in liftable, stackable containers. DVDs may also be donated.

Our book sale would not be possible without the help of so many volunteers, especially Westy Self Storage, said Anita Meritt, chairman of the Summit College Club Book Sale Committee. Westys assistance by providing a drop off location and secure storage is invaluable to us. Our mind is at ease knowing our items are in a facility that is both impeccably clean and temperature-controlled.

Westy is open for drop-offs seven days per week. Hours are 8 a.m. to 6 p.m.  on weekdays, 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturdays and 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sundays.

We are pleased to be able to assist the Summit College Clubs book drive, said Tom Spina, director in charge of the Westy Chatham location. We value the importance of education, and it gives us great satisfaction to assist such a deserving cause.

Founded in 1990, Westy Self Storage is headquartered in Stamford, Conn. The company's portfolio of 16 facilities span the tri-state area of New York, Connecticut and New Jersey.
