Safeguard Self Storage Opens New Facility in NY

Safeguard Self Storage expanded its presence in the New York self-storage market with the opening of its newest location in East Williamsburg. Its fourth facility the company has opened in the past year. Safeguard has 25 locations in New Jersey and New York.

The new facility, 930 Grand St., has 827 storage units in a variety of unit sizes. The East Williamsburg team is led by manager David De LaPava and assistant manager Stephanie Rangel. Amenities at this location include climate-controlled units, a drive-in loading area, computer-controlled access to the building, digital video recording of the property, and individual door alarms.

Founded in 1989, Safeguard Self Storage has more than 60 self-storage facility facilities in Florida, Illinois, Louisiana, New Jersey, New York and Pennsylvania. Headquartered in Atlanta, Safeguard is a privately held company owned by a real estate investment trust partnership managed by Morgan Stanley.
