Police Suspect Tenant in Rash of Thefts at Bay Area Self-Storage Facility

Police suspect a 45-year-old man and tenant at Livermore Self Storage in Livermore, Calif., is also allegedly could be responsible for a rash of thefts at the facility.

Duane Agamau, 45, is wanted for allegedly stealing more than 100 items including electronics, clothing and tools from other units inat the facility. Police searched his unit May 9 and found the stolen items. From May 4 to May 6, several storage units were broken into by someone who cut the locks. Then to cover up, the intruder locked the units with other padlocks. Six or seven victims are known, and police are encouraging Livermore tenants to go to the facility and take inventory of their stored items.

Livermore is in the eastern inland portion of the Bay Area, 35 miles southeast of Oakland. Livermore Self Storage is located just south of Interstate 580.
