A fire at a self-storage facility in Mesa, Ariz., destroyed eight units Wednesday morning and left two firefighters injured.
The first-alarm blaze at Arizona Storage Inns near McKellips Road and Country Club Drive also caused smoke damage to more than 30 units. One firefighter suffered a back; the other had raised vital signs. Both were taken to a local hospital.
The cause of the fire is under investigation. Arizona Storage Inns has five locations in Mesa and several more in the surrounding cities.
