Uncle Bob's Self Storage Hosts Benefit for Coats for Kids

Uncle Bobs Self Storage of Lafayette, La., is working with local Channel 10 KLFY and other area businesses to collect coats for Acadiana children. The storage facility will be hosting a four-hour coat drive to benefit Coats for Kids this Saturday, Jan. 8, at 4706 W. Congress St. in Lafayette.

The eventthe culmination of a month-long coat drive sponsored by Uncle Bobswill feature a live remote with KMDL Radio 93.7, refreshments, and a fun jump for the kids. Residents are encouraged to donate a new or gently used coat or jacket. In return, each donor will receive a coupon from one of several area merchants. Other contributing businesses include Acadian Fun Jump, Acadiana Karate, Adriens Supermarket, Applebees, Arbys, BJs Pizza, Checkers, The Kart Ranch and the Zoo of Acadiana.

We want to do our part to ensure that all Acadiana children have a coat for the winter, said Susan Weiss, facility manager. The generosity of the local merchants has been tremendous.

Uncle Bobs is owned by Sovran Self Storage Inc., a real estate investment trust in the business of acquiring and managing self-storage facilities. The company has more than 350 locations in 24 states.
