For the 10th year running, Door To Door Storage Inc. will participate in the Toys for Joy Program organized and supported by Kent Fire/Fire District 37, Kent Firefighters Local 1747 and the Kent Firefighters Foundation of Washington. The aim of this annual event, launched on Nov. 28, is to collect, sort, wrap and deliver new, unwrapped toys to the Kent Food Bank for distribution to needy families in the community. A portion of the toys will be donated to other local food banks, and non-perishable food items are also accepted.
 
Door To Door is donating the use of 10 portable self-storage containers, including rental and transportation, to house the toys donated by the public. They are being delivered today to Fire Station 75, which is being used as the central sorting location. Units are designated to hold toys for children by age group. Several "wrapping parties" will be held, during which community members and Door To Door employees will gather and wrap all of the toys prior to distribution.
